The original draft of this page would explain more in-depth about the headcrabs recent change in behaviour and how common it is to hear one of the prisoner escapees encounter the headcrab nest inside and end up being either dead or food. The result of the draft didn't seem really appealing to me, but I never made any screenshots with Trixie running through the vents being jumped on by numerous baby and adult headcrabs. I then revised the text so the Ponbine soldiers discuss how common it still is to hear screaming in the vents like in the first draft but also mentions the unfrotunate fact that the creatures can still turn humans into zombies, but not ponies for some reason. They also explain that they would normally burn out the headcrabs from the vents, only for them to set up their nest somewhere else in the ventilation network which eventually annoys the more seasoned soldiers that they no longer care about the headcrabs still inhabiting the ducts (Along with the fact that the headcrabs don't seem to attack them unless they attack first.).
